Well it is nearly time for the second Northeast bag makers sewing retreat after the success of the first retreat, a second retreat was booked almost immediately.
What to expect on the retreat - this retreat will an extra sewing day as it now includes the Friday from 10am, attendees can arrive and set up to sew from 10am on the Friday and we have full use of the sewing room with its riverside views until the Sunday evening at 5pm.
The retreat is held in a hotel in South Shields that sits right on the river mouth where it opens up into the North sea, so has some lovely views. Breakfast, lunch and a 2 course evening meal is included as well as tea and coffee in the sewing room throughout the day. (cake will also be provided).
Included is a bag pattern from British designer Spencer Ogg, but you are free to bring any project with you you wish to sew. Please note the retreat isn't a class/tutor led set up, but more a relaxed sew at your own pace space. I will be available though for any help and support needed to help you create your bag making projects.
Skill builder session there will be at least 2 sessions over the weekend delving into bag making techniques that are used regularly in the bag making world.
For a full itinerary of what will be happening over the weekend visit the website here.
I will hopefully be arranging another retreat in October 27th-29th you can register your interest on the website linked above or secure your space by booking on the bag makers page on my website
Until next time
