June is shaping up to be a brilliant month inside The Bag Makers Sew-Ciety Club, and I’m so excited to share what we’ve got planned! Whether you’re sewing along live or catching up in your own time, there’s loads to get stuck into — and of course, the warm and welcoming community is always ready to cheer you on.
👜 This Month’s Sew Along: The Annabelle by SiahSwag
This month, we’ll be making the Annabelle bag by SiahSwag — a stylish, structured bag and our version will feature a quilted front panel, an added zipper accent pocket, and beautiful feature piping. I’ve made two of these already, and I can’t wait to make it again with you all.
I will say, though — I’ve yet to actually keep one! One went straight to my daughter, and the other to my mum... and this one? Well, that’s going to one of you. Yep — every month, the bag I make during the sew along goes into a prize draw for one lucky club member to win. Could it be your turn this time?
🎥 Live Sew Alongs — Every Tuesday at 7.30pm
Each Tuesday evening at 7.30pm, I go live to walk you through the bag in manageable sections. Whether you like to sew along in real time or prefer to watch it back later, every session is recorded and uploaded into the members area so you can follow along at your own pace.
✂️ BONUS: Piping Masterclass
To go alongside this month’s make, I’m also running an in-depth piping masterclass, where we’ll cover different types of piping and how to apply them — from classic fabric piping to faux leather piping and more. You’ll pick up tips you can use in so many future projects.
🧵 More Sewcials Than Ever!
As always, there’ll be our monthly Sewcial — a relaxed, chatty virtual get-together where we catch up, share what we’re working on, and just enjoy being around other bag makers. And this month, I’m adding in an extra mid-week Sewcial too, so you’ll get two opportunities to join in!
