If you're anything like me, you’ll know that finding the perfect fabric for a bag project can be just as exciting as stitching up the final piece. Well, I’ve found a little gem I couldn’t wait to share with you – and it’s called Meve Bag Making. Run by the wonderfully talented Ewa over in Northern Ireland, this shop is an absolute treat for bag makers. Not only does she design her own stunning patterns, but her fabric selection is a thing of dreams!

Let me tell you a bit about Ewa. She’s been sewing for nearly a decade and totally fell in love with bag making around eight years ago – something I know a lot of us can relate to! Her passion turned into a creative business adventure when she launched her first bag pattern a couple of years back, and she’s not looked back since.

What really drew me in though, is her eye for fabric. The range at Meve Bag Making is honestly fabulous. We’re talking rich faux leathers, vibrant waterproof canvases, beautifully printed cottons – all carefully chosen by Ewa herself. She does extensive quality checks too, so you know you’re getting something that’s made to last. Perfect for bags you want to show off and use every day.

While I get all my hardware and interfacing from my own website, Me Made Makes, Ewa’s shop is now top of my list when it comes to sourcing unique, high-quality fabrics. Her collections are bold, cheerful and packed with personality – just like the bags I love making.

And if you’re on the lookout for inspiration, you’ll find that in bucketloads with her bag patterns too. Each one is a little masterclass in creativity, clearly designed with love and a real understanding of what we bag makers need.

Even better – Ewa’s not just selling stuff. She’s built a lovely little community around Meve through her Facebook group where fellow bag makers share their creations, tips, and support each other.
